I just purchased the diet book, the cookbook and the workbook! I like to keep a journal of my progress on my diet so I can see what I did that works and what didn't work so I won't keep doing the wrong thing! I just started the diet yesterday and lost 3 pounds when I got on the scale this morning. I would highly recommend this journal to go with the book and cookbook! It will help keep you focused on your diet journey as well as help you remember what you have to do in each of the 4 phases of the diet and keep it from being overwhelming!Buy the set! It will keep you focused on your diet, and your exercise program!
I purchased the 17 Day diet book a few months ago but I had a difficult time sticking to the diet. The workbook really helps you stick to the diet with daily food logs and reflections. If you are planning on starting the 17 day diet you should really use this bok to help you through!
Disappointing, the downloaded version of this book on the Nook was much more informational. This book does not have menu samples for each day (which is very helpful to keep me on track). Also does not have the definitions/ingredient list of what he means when he says 'big green salad' for lunch, doesn't have basic recipes for what the kefir smoothie all includes, etc. Missing a lot of info you can find on google without having to buy this and realize you have to look elsewhere to complete the process/meal plan.This is not an end to end reference for this diet; not recommended for anyone that has never done this diet before or anyone that needs more detail of meal planning in order to stay on track.
I am in cycle 2 and have lost 15 lbs so far. I am 60 years old. I have never had this much success with a diet. My husband and I are committed to having a healthier life style and that is how we are looking at this diet. He has lost 12 lbs (he has less to lose than I do).. I use the workbook to keep track of the food I eat and the exercise I do each day. The workbook also includes additional helpful information and easy recipes. Research shows that those who keep track of their food intake tend to lose more. So I'm willing to do this.
I received the book quickly, along with the full 17 Day Diet book. I began filling out the questions but when it comes to the daily reports, it's just a bit of overkill and very repetitive. I stopped using it. I record things on the computer anyhow so I didn't really need the workbook. The diet is in this book so you should either buy the workbook or the diet book. I don't find a need for both.
Don't waste your money. Just as easy and much cheaper to get a note book and keep track of diet info based on the 17 day diet book. Not at all necessary. The same information is in the regular 17 day diet book. The only possible benefit is it contains information that you carry with you and fill out through the day, but a note book would work just as easy.
I ordered the 17 day diet workbook to help me with the 17 day diet plan that I recently went on. I also purchased the 17 day diet book from Amazon. Each cyle consists of 17 days and there are 4 cycles. I lost 6 pounds in my first cycle and my co-worker lost 8 pounds. We are loving how you can eat a lot and still lose weight. This is a great diet plan for those of you who want to see fast results. THIS WORKS!
